The hotel is located in an old forest ranger's school from the 1930s, one of the few buildings to survive in Rovaniemi after the war. The hotel rooms are spread over three floors. There is no elevator in the building. High ceilings and open windows create a traditional ambiance. In the surrounding area, you can enjoy old buildings, the nearby Kemijoki River, and the Finnish countryside. Welcome!

Logger´s holiday homes
A spacious terraced house apartment with a private sauna offers accommodation even for a bigger party. The house is located 80 meters away on the side of the hotel main building, with a total of five apartments next to each other.

Booking and cancellation conditions
To ensure your stay is as successful as possible, you must comply with the following terms and conditions unless otherwise agreed. The hotel reserves the right to apply special conditions that deviate from these terms and conditions, such as for holidays, special events, seasonal changes, and additional accommodation services.
RESERVATION AND CONFIRMATION
These reservation conditions become binding for both parties once the customer has received a reservation confirmation or has paid the advance payment or the total accommodation costs. When making a reservation, the guest must provide their name, home address, arrival and departure times, payment method, and a credit card number. The credit card will be used to confirm the reservation and/or charge the advance payment.
HOTEL ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
A reserved room is available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival, and check-out must be by 12:00 PM on the day of departure. The hotel may have different check-in and check-out times, which will be stated in the booking confirmation.
The reserved room is considered booked until 6:00 PM on the day of booking, unless a later check-in time has been agreed upon. The hotel reception is open until 10:00 PM. If there is a later arrival time, this must be arranged in advance.
DELIVERY CONDITIONS FOR ONLINE RESERVATIONS
Prices on the website portal may vary depending on available capacity and dates. The website may use campaign-specific cancellation policies, which are listed in the offer details. Prices may therefore differ from those provided by the sales department or the room rates advertised at reception.
DELIVERY CONDITIONS FOR INDIVIDUAL RESERVATIONS
The guest can cancel a room reservation without penalty until 8:00 PM one day before arrival if the reservation is made outside of peak season. If the guest does not arrive, the hotel reserves the right to charge the guest the full booking amount.
During the season from December 1 to March 30, a customer can cancel a room reservation 30 days before the start of the reservation without a cancellation fee. Cancellations made after this time will be charged the full reservation cost. Cancellations can be made either in writing to info@metsahirvas.fi or by calling the reception at 040 031 5099. The cancellation is considered valid once the sales department or reception receives the request.
PAYMENTS
The hotel accepts most credit cards. The hotel does not accept foreign currencies, coupons, or checks.
The customer will receive an invoice confirming any advance or final payment. Confirmation or advance payment invoices will be sent via email or an electronic reservation system, unless otherwise agreed. Failure to submit the deposit will result in the cancellation of the reservation.
HOTEL STAY
The price of the hotel room includes the right to freely use the room. The hotel reserves the right to charge the actual costs incurred for special cleaning work (such as furniture, carpets, or paintwork related to the room furnishings). Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas.
The guest is liable for all damage caused by their own negligence (e.g., false fire alarm or smoking in the room) that they or their guests cause in the room or other areas of the hotel, including furniture and furnishings, as well as for damage to other guests of the hotel and/or their property. Liability for damages is governed by the general principles of compensation.
The hotel is not responsible for allergic reactions or other problems caused by smoking or any animal particles that may be present.
Any comments regarding the functionality or condition of hotel room amenities must be forwarded immediately to reception or the sales department during your stay.
Appropriate behavior is important in a hotel. If a customer causes a disturbance or danger to other customers staying in the same building, the hotel or the vendor has the right to terminate the rental agreement immediately. Any resulting costs will be charged to the customer.
THE HOTEL'S RESPONSIBILITY FOR GUEST BELONGINGS
Guests are responsible for their luggage unless the hotel has stored it. The hotel is only responsible for items stored in the hotel's safe deposit box. The hotel is not liable for damage to or loss of a vehicle parked in the hotel parking lot, or for the theft of items in the vehicle.
FORCE MAJEURE
The hotel reserves the right to cancel a reservation for compelling reasons, such as force majeure (when the hotel is unable to provide its services due to events beyond its control, such as strikes, fire, water damage, natural disasters, war, or misfortune). In this case, the amount will be refunded to the customer.
