The hotel operates in an old Forest Guard School built in the 1930's, which is one of the few buildings preserved in Rovaniemi after the war. The hotel rooms are located on three floors. There is no lift in the building. High rooms and open windows create an old-fashioned atmosphere. In the surroundings you can enjoy old buildings, the nearby River Kemijoki and Finnish nature. Booking and cancellation policy
For us to be able to guarantee the success of your stay in the best possible way, we require you to adhere to the following terms, unless agreed otherwise. Hotel has the right to use special terms that differ from these terms in case of for ex. holidays, special events, seasonal changes and additional services for the accommodation.
RESERVATION AND CONFIRMATION
These reservation conditions become binding for both parties, when the client has received a confirmation for his reservation or paid the pre-payment or his full accommodation cost. When making a reservation, the guest must provide his name, residential address, arrival and departure time, payment method and also give a credit card number. The credit card is used for confirming the reservation and/or when agreeing to charge for the pre-payment.
HOTEL ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
A reserved room is available on arrival day from 3PM and check-out time is by 12 noon on the departure day. The hotel can have differing check in and check out times, which are mentioned in the reservation confirmation.
The reserved room will be considered booked until 6PM of the reservation day, unless a later check in time has been agreed upon. The hotel reception is open until 10PM. If there is a later arrival time, this needs to be agreed upon in advance.
TERMS OF DELIVERY FOR ONLINE RESERVATIONS
The website portal rates can differ depending on the available capacity and the time period. Campaign-specific cancellation terms mentioned in the details of the offer may be used in the website. Prices may therefore vary from the information provided by the sales department or the room rates provided by the reception.
TERMS OF DELIVERY FOR INDIVIDUAL RESERVATIONS
The client can cancel a room reservation without penalty no later than at 8PM one day prior to arrival if the reservation is outside of high season. If the guest does not arrive, the hotel has the right to charge the guest for the entire value of the reservation.
During the season period of 1.12 to 30.3, a client can cancel a room reservation without penalty 30 days prior to the starting date of the reservation. For any cancellations occurring after this time, the client will be charged for the entire cost of the reservation. A cancellation can be made either by writing to firstname.lastname@example.org tor by calling the reception desk at 040 031 5099. The cancellation will be considered valid at the moment the sales department or reception receives the request.
The hotel accepts most credit cards. The hotel does not accept foreign currency, coupons or checks.
The client will receive an invoice confirming pre-payments or final payments. Confirmation or pre-payment invoices will be sent via email or an electronic reservation system, unless agreed otherwise. Failure to send the pre-payment will lead to cancellation of the reservation.
STAYING AT THE HOTEL
The price of the hotel room includes the right to use the room freely. For any special cleaning (such as furniture, washing carpets or paintwork pertaining to the room furnishings, the hotel has the right to charge the expenses based on actual incurred expenses. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas. Unauthorized indoor smoking will be charged for an additional day, including laundry invoice of textiles.
The guest is responsible for any damage caused by his own negligence (e.g. false fire alarm or smoking in the room) that he or his guests cause to the room or other premises of the hotel, including the furniture and equipment, as well as damage to other guests of the hotel and/or their property. Responsibility for the damage is determined by general principles of damage compensation.
The hotel is not responsible for client’s allergies or other issues caused by smoking or animal particles that may be present.
Any notifications regarding the functioning or condition of hotel room equipment should immediately be passed to the reception or sales department during the course of residence.
Appropriate conduct is important at the hotel. Should a client cause a disturbance or danger for other clients staying at the same property, the hotel or the seller has the right to terminate the tenancy immediately. The client will be charged for any costs incurred.
THE HOTEL’S RESPONSIBILITY FOR GUEST’S BELONGINGS
The guest is responsible for his luggage, unless the hotel has placed the luggage in storage. The hotel is responsible only for the items placed in the hotel’s storage locker. The hotel is not responsible for any damage or disappearance of a vehicle parked in the hotel’s parking area or theft of the items inside the vehicle.
The hotel has the right to cancel a reservation for compelling reasons, such as force majeure (occurring when the hotel cannot provide its services due to events outside their control, such as a strike, fire, water damage, natural disaster, state of war or another similar factor). In such cases, the client’s pre-payment will be refunded.
